Character Beyond Plot – 3

Option 2: The Character as a Navigational Anchor
To establish at least one strong voice with a past and a social context, a central narrating character can be introduced. This figure can compensate for fragmentation by accompanying the experience as a whole. The narrating instance appears as a character with a clear stance, a history, and its own agenda.
In our collaboration with Audioversum (Innsbruck), a distinctly positioned narrating character — the leader of a gang — guided the audience through the experience.
